Hello

The idea of therapy can be daunting, especially if you’ve never participated in therapy before. If you have and the experience wasn’t too great, you could have some anxiety and hesitation around re-starting the process again. All of this is natural, but that’s why I am here! My desire is to ensure that you feel heard, feel valued and feel safe. My hope is to help you navigate through life, feel empowered in your decision making and to be confident in you! I am open to serving children, young adults and adults that are looking for ways to become the best versions of themselves.

BIO

Using a client centered approach, we will work together to ensure that you see yourself in a positive and inclusive light. We will also take a deep dive into the difficult situations that you’re facing by building strategies to help you resolve them on your own. Why this approach? It’s simple: You ARE stronger than you think! We will focus on your needs, without judgement, to increase self-awareness and clarity, improve your overall self-esteem, and strengthen your ability to be self-reliant. If you’re looking for this type of therapy, well, I am your person. Genuineness, respect, and empathy are the qualities I possess and hope to use as we establish a rapport and work towards healing. I want you to feel 100%  comfortable during our time together. There is nothing wrong with shedding a few tears, yelling and being angry, please FEEL!

That’s why we are here.

I received my Bachelors of Science and Master of Social Work degrees from Indiana University. I am currently matriculating through the Doctor of Social Work program through the University of Louisville, with an anticipated completion date of May 2025. I have been in the social work field for 10 years and I have three years of mental health and addictions counseling experience from Families First, where I provided free counseling to students on the Ivy Tech Community College campus. I spent 7.5 years working as a Family Case Manager Supervisor for the Indiana Department of Child Services, working with youth and families that were involved in the child welfare and juvenile justice system. My experience has been serving clients with anxiety, depression, suicidal ideations, relationship stress, childhood trauma and opposition defiance related issues. I have been trained in Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Focused- Cognitive Behavior Therapy and will soon complete the Youth and Adult Mental Health First Aid along with becoming a Certified Youth Worker. Therapy is like life, one day at a time. Whenever you are ready, I will be waiting! I look forward to helping you set boundaries,  communicate openly and feel supported. You are one step closer to accessing the key to deep healing!
